Five Ways to Use the KCCL Listserv

All KCCL members and friends are invited to join the organization’s listserv hosted at Groups.io.

Here are 5 easy ways you can use this resource to build your practice:

  1. Referrals. The KCCL listserv is a great place to ask for referrals to other professionals. Does your client need a great child therapist? Do you need someone to help with a parenting plan or QDRO? Many of our members are solo practitioners and/or are relatively new to Collaborative law. Other KCCL members can help make the connections you need! 

  2. Quick questions. Are you wondering about the status of a particular court calendar, need some example language for a document, or want to know about a particular scheduling tool? The listserv is a great place for these quick questions; another possible place to bring questions is the KCCL mentoring monthly discussion (3rd Friday of each month at 9am on Zoom).

  3. Legal/other professional specialties. Perhaps you have experience in other areas of law (for example: estate planning, real estate transactions, or civil litigation) or have a therapy practice with room for more clients. Feel free to share this information on the listserv, or, if you’re looking for someone to consult with on a certain topic, feel free to ask.

  4. Upcoming events. Feel free to share reminders about upcoming professional gatherings, continuing education events, and the like. You could even use the listserv to plan carpools to these events!

  5. Meeting people. Propose a happy hour, book club, or a walk around Green Lake! Collaborative practice thrives on interpersonal connections, which grow from professional and fun social connections.
