WA Statewide AI Task Force: Presentation of Findings & Recommendations

The Statewide Collaborative Community AI Task Force was convened to define our professional obligations regarding the use of artificial intelligence, especially around recording and notetaking, and to recommend practices that meet those obligations.

Between April and June 2026, task force members conducted literature reviews and analysis, drawing on materials from the WSBA, the APA, the Washington State Attorney General’s commissioned task force, the ICF, and Harvard University’s technology department.

Task force lead Kristy Larch and contributing authors will present the initial report’s findings, nine recommendations, and a sample supplemental client agreement regarding the recording of meetings.
