Financial Specialists
Financial Specialists. The financial specialist works as part of a Collaborative Law team to enhance the process as a neutral financial analyst and consultant. The financial specialist will assist by facilitating the exchange of information and education to help all obtain a good understanding of the financial picture. Financial specialists also help parties develop post-divorce budgets so they can make informed settlement decisions, and educate parties as to the implications of various financial decisions.
Collaborative financial specialists work closely with the rest of the professional team to ensure their services best complement the process. They are prohibited from having an ongoing financial relationship with either party in order to maintain the financial specialist’s neutrality in all regards.
All Collaborative financial specialists who are members of King County Collaborative Law must meet minimum training requirements.

CDFA's help clients determine the short term and long term financial impact of any proposed divorce settlement.
